Timpson Locksmiths and Safe Engineers in short
Timpson Locksmiths and Safe Engineers is the national-chain branch at the Forge in Telford, backed by a limited company active since nineteen sixty. The company site describes DBS-checked locksmiths with round-the-clock service in general terms, and the branch is findable and contactable through the national locator, which suits you if you prefer a company structure behind the visit. National contact routes stand in for a local number.
Branch reviews are the round's weakest: three point eight from twenty-two Google reviews, well below every independent in this round. Against that, the Timpson Locksmiths branch page carries almost no Telford-specific information: no services list, prices or local contact beyond the national routes. Our judgement: include this branch for completeness, but the evidence favours Telford independents.
The offer is a national-chain branch at the Forge Roundabout in Overdale, backed by a limited company active since nineteen sixty. Contact runs through national routes and the branch locator rather than a local number, which suits customers who prefer a company structure behind the visit. The branch page itself carries almost no Telford-specific detail on services, prices or local contact.
Across the held sources the customer evidence sits well below every independent in the round, on a small number of branch reviews. The held record favours Telford independents on ratings, pricing detail and local information alike. That gap is why the branch sits outside the ranked ten, included for completeness rather than contention.
Our verdict
Our judgement: include this branch for completeness, but the evidence favours Telford independents on ratings, pricing detail and local information.

Questions about Timpson Locksmiths and Safe Engineers
Is Timpson Locksmiths Telford Forge any good?
The evidence is thin: the branch holds three point eight from twenty-two Google reviews, the lowest in our locksmiths round, though the national company behind it is long-established. It sits outside our ranked ten. Read the full review, then compare an independent quote. The chain's age does not transfer to the branch.
Is Timpson Locksmiths Telford Forge MLA registered?
The company site describes accredited, DBS-checked locksmiths in general terms, without a checkable registration for this branch, and no scheme is required by law. Industry qualifications therefore can't be sourced for the Forge branch. Ask the branch what sits behind the description before you book. Get the answer in writing with the quote.
What does Timpson Locksmiths Telford Forge charge?
No call-out fee, rates or VAT position is stated on the branch page. National pricing may apply at the counter, but nothing is published for this branch. Ask for the full price, including parts, before agreeing anything. Ask for the counter price before handing over any keys. Confirm national pricing at the counter first.
Where does Timpson Locksmiths Telford Forge work?
It trades from the Forge Roundabout in Overdale, Telford, as a branch of the national Timpson locksmith network. Contact runs through national routes rather than a local number. Check the branch locator for current opening hours. National contact routes stand in for a local number. Overdale is the branch location for collections.
How is Timpson Locksmiths Telford Forge ranked?
It sits outside the ranked ten in our September round, included for completeness as a researched national branch. Branch ratings and thin local detail keep it out of the table. Read the full review, then compare the ranked independents. Start with the ranked independents above it. Completeness, not contention, is why it is listed.
How do I get a quote from Timpson Telford Forge?
Contact runs through national routes and the branch locator rather than a local number, so start there for opening hours and the counter price. Nothing about money is published for the Forge branch specifically. National pricing may apply, but confirm it at the counter first. Ask at the counter, not the national helpline.
What do customers say about Timpson Telford Forge?
Customers rate the branch at three point eight from twenty-two Google reviews, the lowest in the round and well below every independent. The national company behind it is long-established, but branch reviews describe the Forge counter, not the chain. Compare an independent quote before deciding. The small base means each review shows.
How does Timpson Telford Forge compare with the others in the round?
It sits outside the ranked ten while ten independents with better branch-level evidence fill the table. The national backing is real, but ratings, pricing detail and local information all favour the independents. Use it as the backup when no independent can attend, which is what it is best for. That backup role is what the ranking lists it for.
