Auto Recode Shropshire in short
Auto Recode Shropshire is a Telford-based auto locksmith: replacement car keys, fobs, immobiliser work and tracker fitting, done by a mobile service that reaches you at home or the roadside. What stands out is the car-key specialism, with tracker fitting to a Thatcham standard mentioned as a product and a fixed-price quotation promised by phone or form before work starts.
Customer reviews are the standout here: four point nine from one hundred and ninety-one Google reviews, the largest review volume in this round. The limited company has been active for several years. Against that, the Auto Recode Shropshire site publishes no call-out fee, rates or insurance details, so pricing beyond the quoted fixed price sits outside what you can check. Our judgement: the round's strongest option when the job involves a car key.
The offer is pure auto locksmithing from a Telford base: replacement car keys, fobs, immobiliser work and tracker fitting, done by a mobile service that reaches you at home or the roadside. A fixed-price quotation by phone or form before work starts sets it apart from rivals who leave everything to the call. Coverage runs across Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Whitchurch, Wolverhampton and Stafford alongside Telford.
Across the held sources the customer record shows a specialist doing one thing repeatedly rather than a generalist turning to cars occasionally, which matters where each job pairs cutting with programming. Against that depth, pricing beyond the quoted fixed price and insurance cover sit outside what can be checked. That split explains fourth place: unmatched for car keys, thinner on checkable cover.
Our verdict
Our judgement: this is the round's strongest option when the job involves a car key rather than a door lock. The fixed-price promise and review volume count in its favour.

Questions about Auto Recode Shropshire
Is Auto Recode Shropshire any good?
On the evidence, yes for car keys: it ranks fourth of the ten Telford locksmiths and holds the round's largest review volume at four point nine from one hundred and ninety-one Google reviews. Pricing beyond the fixed quote is unpublished, so read the full review and its sources. Use the quote form for the fixed price. The fixed-price quote promise is the part to hold them to.
Is Auto Recode Shropshire MLA registered?
No locksmith qualification or scheme membership is claimed on the Auto Recode Shropshire site, and none is required by law. Tracker fitting to a Thatcham standard is mentioned as a product rather than a firm credential. Industry qualifications therefore can't be sourced. Get the answer alongside the quote. Ask the firm directly what sits behind the work.
What does Auto Recode Shropshire charge?
No call-out fee or rates are published; the site promises a fixed-price quotation by phone or form before work starts. That quote is the price, so check whether it covers one key or two, and ask for it confirmed in writing before the van rolls. A second key in the same visit is worth pricing.
Where does Auto Recode Shropshire work?
From its Telford base it covers Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Whitchurch, Wolverhampton and Stafford, with a mobile service reaching you at home or the roadside. Round-the-clock availability is stated. Send your postcode and car details for the quote. Give the car make, model and year with the postcode. Round-the-clock availability covers the roadside case.
How is Auto Recode Shropshire ranked?
It ranks fourth of the ten locksmiths in our September round, picked for lost car keys and roadside key replacement. The huge review volume and clear specialism carry it above generalists. Read the full review, then ask for the fixed quote. Read the review themes against your own car key problem.
How do I get a quote from Auto Recode Shropshire?
Use the phone or the quote form with the car make, model and year plus your postcode; the site promises a fixed-price quotation before work starts. Check whether the figure covers one key or two, since a second key in the same visit usually costs far less than a later call-out. Get the fixed figure confirmed in writing before the van rolls.
What do customers say about Auto Recode Shropshire?
Customers rate the firm at four point nine from one hundred and ninety-one Google reviews, the largest review volume in this round. The themes are roadside key replacement and successful programming rather than door work, which fits the pure-auto offer. Pricing beyond the fixed quote is the part the reviews cannot answer.
How does Auto Recode Shropshire compare with the others in the round?
It ranks fourth as the round's strongest car-key option, ahead of every generalist for anything with a fob or immobiliser. For door locks, burglary repairs or safes, the firms above and around it are the better-shaped choice. Match the firm to the job: cars here, doors elsewhere in the table.
