SMP Security Solutions Ltd in short
SMP Security Solutions is a Telford manufacturer installing graded safes, strongrooms, vaults and steel security doors from its Halesfield facility. What sets SMP apart in our review is that the firm makes what it fits, with products independently tested to British and European standards and long stated industry experience. A round-the-clock phone line takes urgent enquiries every day.
The record shows a maker of secure storage rather than a fitter of door entry: graded safes, strongrooms, vaults and steel doors, designed and built at Halesfield, with maintenance services stated alongside. The stated patch is Telford and contact runs through a phone line described as open round the clock, plus an online route. Decades of making stand behind the name, though no scheme membership can be sourced.
Customer reviews are solid if few in number, with a headline Google rating of 4.6 stars drawn from sixteen reviews. The file is small next to the ranked installers, so our reading is that it shows steady maker-direct work rather than a deep service record. Nothing else sits beside it in the evidence file.
What counts against it for this ranking is scope: secure storage rather than door entry or access control, with no published prices or insurance detail. Our verdict is that it suits buyers wanting a safe, vault or security door direct from its maker. That scope gap is why it sits outside the ranked table.
Our verdict
Our judgement: SMP suits Telford buyers who need a safe, vault or security door supplied and installed by the Telford firm that made it [1]. The Google record stands at 4.6 from 16 reviews [2]. What counts against it for this ranking is scope: secure storage, not door entry or access control, with no published prices [1].

Questions about SMP Security Solutions Ltd
Is SMP Security Solutions any good?
On the evidence, yes for safes and vaults: its products are independently tested to British and European standards, and customer reviews show 4.6 stars on Google. Fitted access control is outside its scope, so read the full review. Ask for an itemised quote before you agree anything. The record suits a buyer who wants secure storage from its maker rather than an access control installer.
Is SMP Security Solutions registered with a trade scheme?
No trade-scheme membership can be sourced from the registers, the website or the platforms checked, though its products are independently tested to British and European standards. Ask for proof of insurance with your quote. Confirm everything in writing before work starts. The independent product testing is the firmer ground here, and the full review prints the position as it stands.
How much does SMP Security Solutions charge?
It publishes no prices, rates, call-out fee or VAT position, offering a phone and contact route instead. That means your quote does the talking: describe the safe or door and ask for the finished total. Confirm what the price covers before you agree anything. Say the model or size, describe the access for fitting, and ask for VAT and aftercare in the same figure.
How is SMP Security Solutions ranked?
It was assessed in our September access control round but sits outside the top ten, kept out by scope rather than bad reviews. Read the full review alongside the evidence on the page. Then ask for the itemised quote before you agree anything. The round date sits beside the table, and the listing route stays open for the firm to send detail for the next round.
What areas does SMP Security Solutions cover?
The firm designs and builds at Halesfield in Telford and names Telford as its patch. Send your street and postcode with the job list and check cover with the quote. Heavy safes and vault work turn on access and floors, so describe the room and the route on the first call. The reply settles cover faster than any map.
How do I get a quote from SMP Security Solutions?
Ring the phone line or use the online contact route with the safe or door you have in mind. Describe the model or size, where it must go, and what fitting and aftercare you expect, then ask for an itemised quote with VAT stated. Agree the finished figure before work starts, and keep the quote beside the handover papers. A written figure beats a remembered one.
What do customers say about SMP Security Solutions?
Google shows a solid headline drawn from sixteen reviews, a modest file for a maker of this age. The record shows maker-direct safe and door work rather than fitted access control. Read the full review beside the evidence on the page, and ask for local references with the quote if you want more than the screen shows.
How does SMP Security Solutions compare with the ranked firms?
SMP sits outside the ranked table on scope while Archer Security leads it as a certificated access control installer covering alarms, cameras and door entry. SSAFE is the closer alternative for a multi-system brief spanning alarms, cameras and entry. Shortlist SMP only where a safe, vault or security door is the job; shortlist the ranked firms where entry, alarms or cameras are.
