DRT Locksmith & Secure in short
DRT Locksmith and Secure is a Telford locksmith at Forge Gate in Overdale, listed as open round the clock for lock-outs, repairs and lock changes. What sets DRT apart in our review is phone-first availability, with a mobile contact for direct enquiries at any hour. There is no website behind the name, so everything checkable sits in its listings, day or night.
The jobs customers describe are lock-outs answered, faulty locks repaired and cylinders changed: a locksmith's workload rather than fitted alarms, cameras or door entry. The base is Forge Gate in Overdale and the stated patch is Telford, with bookings taken by phone through a mobile line listed as open round the clock. With no website to browse, the call itself is the shopfront, and the door, the lock and the finished price are all settled there.
Customer reviews are spotless, with a headline Google rating of five stars drawn from fifteen reviews. The file covers lock-out, repair and lock-change jobs and nothing else, so our reading is that a small and spotless record is a promising start rather than a settled reputation. No other platform sits in the file to set beside it.
What counts against it is the absence of checkable detail: no site, no published prices and no stated insurance. Our verdict is that it suits residents comfortable booking a locksmith by phone without reading a website first, if the price is agreed up front. That thin file is also why it sits outside the ranked table.
Our verdict
Our judgement: DRT suits Telford residents who need a locksmith by phone at any hour and are comfortable booking without a website to read first [1] [2]. The Google record stands at 5.0 from 15 reviews [2]. What counts against it is the absence of checkable detail: no site, no published prices and no stated insurance [1] [2].

Questions about DRT Locksmith & Secure
Is DRT Locksmith and Secure any good?
On the evidence, it suits phone bookings: customer reviews show five stars on Google from fifteen ratings for lock-out, repair and lock-change work. There is no website to check, so read the full review and its sources. Agree the total on the phone before anyone sets off. The file is small, so treat the perfect record as a promising start and read the verdict beside the listings.
Is DRT Locksmith and Secure registered with a trade scheme?
No trade accreditation can be sourced: the firm has no website, and nothing is listed on the registers or the platforms checked. Ask whether it holds any scheme membership and for proof of insurance. Confirm both things before work starts. Locksmiths carry no mandatory registration, so membership is a choice rather than a given; the full review prints the position as it stands.
How much does DRT Locksmith and Secure charge?
It publishes no prices, rates, call-out fee or VAT position anywhere checkable. That means the phone call does the talking: describe the door and lock and ask for the finished total. Confirm exactly what the price covers before anyone travels. Night and weekend jobs usually cost more across the trade, so fix the out-of-hours total on the call and ask for an invoice on completion.
How is DRT Locksmith and Secure ranked?
It was assessed in our September access control round but sits outside the top ten, kept out by missing checkable detail rather than bad reviews. Read the full review alongside its listings. Then agree the finished price on the phone. The round date sits beside the table, and the listing route stays open for the firm to send detail for the next round.
What areas does DRT Locksmith and Secure cover?
The firm is based at Forge Gate in Overdale and names Telford as its patch. Give your street and postcode on the call and check the job is covered before going further. Homes outside the town and flats with shared entrances are worth stating up front, since cover can shift with workload. The reply on the phone settles it faster than any map.
How do I get a quote from DRT Locksmith and Secure?
There is no website or online form, so the quote happens entirely by phone on the mobile line. Describe the door, the lock and the problem, say where you are, and ask for the finished total including any call-out fee and VAT. Agree that figure before anyone sets off, and ask for an invoice on completion. A clear total on the call leaves nothing to argue about at the door.
What do customers say about DRT Locksmith and Secure?
Customer reviews sit on Google alone, with a perfect headline drawn from fifteen reviews of lock-outs, repairs and lock changes. Nothing else appears in the public record, so read the full review beside the listings. A small and spotless file reads as a promising start rather than a settled reputation.
How does DRT Locksmith and Secure compare with the ranked firms?
The honest comparison is with LockFit Shropshire Locksmiths, the ranked locksmith pick: round-the-clock lock-out cover with no call-out charge and the biggest review file in the round, against a phone-only file with nothing checkable beyond its listings. Anyone wanting alarms, cameras or door entry should shortlist the ranked installers instead, since this record shows locksmith work only.
