A1 Glass & Glazing in short
A1 Glass & Glazing is a Telford call-out firm covering emergency glazing, boarding-up, locks and advertised full window replacement from one local service, and our review finds a genuinely broad one-van offering. The company record runs back over twenty years as an active limited company. Constructionline approval and CHAS certification are stated on its own site.
The record shows emergency glazing, boarding-up, locks and advertised full window replacement from one Wellington-area service, with Constructionline approval and CHAS certification stated on its own site. Contact runs by phone, form and email, with the mobile number pushed for urgent jobs. The patch covers Telford, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury and the wider county, and glazing repairs and boarding-up travel well across it. For urgent jobs the mobile number is the advertised route.
Customer reviews sit in the mid-fours on Google from a modest set, with no second platform on file. This review reads that as a working record rather than a polished one. Modest in size and single-sourced, it suits a call-out trade better than a showroom seller.
A1 Glass & Glazing is not ranked this round: it advertises full replacement without stating FENSA or CERTASS registration, and a register search returned no listing. Our verdict is that it suits glazing repairs and boarding-up judged on its own record, with replacement windows the gap in its record.
Our verdict
Our verdict: A1 Glass & Glazing suits Telford buyers who want one call-out firm for glazing repairs, boarding-up or replacement windows [1]. The company record runs back to 2005 and the review record stands at 4.5 from 37 [4] [6]. What counts against it is the missing competent-person registration and the unstated insurance and pricing detail.

Questions about A1 Glass & Glazing
Is A1 Glass & Glazing any good?
For glazing repairs, the record is working rather than polished: four point five on Google from a modest set, backed by a company record running back over twenty years. Emergency glazing, boarding-up and locks are its core alongside advertised replacement. Read the Google reviews, then call the mobile number for urgent jobs. The full review below sets out the strengths and limitations behind that headline.
Is A1 Glass & Glazing FENSA registered?
No. It advertises full window replacement without stating FENSA or CERTASS registration, and a FENSA register name search returned no listing. Constructionline approval and CHAS certification are stated on its site instead. Ask what compliance route your replacement would use before you agree anything. The review page shows what the registers returned on the evidence date.
How much does A1 Glass & Glazing charge?
A free quote by phone is offered with prices described as highly competitive, but no call-out fee, rates or VAT terms are published. That means your quote does the talking: describe the job fully and ask for a fixed figure. Confirm the VAT position and what starts the price moving before you agree anything. Get the same scope priced by a second firm so the two figures stay comparable.
Where does A1 Glass & Glazing work?
The firm covers Telford, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury and the wider county from its Wellington-area base. Glazing repairs and boarding-up travel well; replacement work needs its compliance question answered first. Send your postcode with the job details to confirm you are covered. The review page header carries the address and contact detail for the firm.
How is A1 Glass & Glazing ranked?
It is not ranked this round: it sits among the researched but not assessed firms because its advertised replacement work has no evidenced competent-person registration. Its customer record still stands on its own. Use the Claim a listing route to send updated detail for the next round. The full ranking and its sources sit on the trade page.
How do I get a quote from A1 Glass & Glazing?
Call the mobile number for urgent glazing jobs, or use the phone, form and email routes for the free quote. Describe the job fully and ask for a fixed figure with the VAT position and what starts the price moving. For replacement windows, ask what compliance route the job would use, since no competent-person registration is evidenced.
What do A1 Glass & Glazing's reviews say?
They say working rather than polished: mid-fours on Google from a modest set, with no second platform on file. That fits a call-out trade better than it would a showroom seller. Read the reviews for emergency and repair jobs like yours, then call the mobile number with the job details.
How does A1 Glass & Glazing compare with the other Telford window fitters?
It sits outside the ranked nine among the researched but not assessed firms, alongside Daylite and Jmart, all held back by the same missing competent-person registration. Its emergency glazing and boarding-up cover matches Wholesale Glass more than any showroom fitter. Judge it on its own repair record rather than the table, and settle the compliance question before ordering replacement.
