A Thorpe Plastering in short
A Thorpe Plastering is a Telford sole trader covering skimming, rendering, dry-lining and repairs, with a stated trading history stretching back two decades. Contact is straightforward, with a landline, a mobile and an email address, plus a free quote offer. The site names its services plainly.
Customer reviews are the deepest set in this round, holding five stars on Google. Industry qualifications cannot be sourced from any register, the website or the platforms checked, and the site publishes no insurance detail. Companies House holds no limited company under this name, so it trades as a sole trader. Our verdict: A Thorpe Plastering is a sound first call for routine internal plastering in Telford.
The record shows a Telford sole trader naming skimming, rendering, dry-lining and repairs in plain terms, reached through a landline, a mobile and an email address [1]. A free quote opens every enquiry, and both numbers reach the same plasterer rather than an office. Local homes form the whole book here, so photos of the walls and a postcode are enough to start the conversation.
The customer evidence fills out further than any other firm here: the round's largest review base on a single listing, holding its headline figure with steady consistency. Single-platform evidence stays single-platform, yet the consistency across that base is the firm's strongest card. Our view: the customer record does the heavy lifting in this assessment.
Our verdict
Our judgement: this is a sound first call for routine internal plastering in Telford, given the 21-year history and the 44-review record at 5.0 [1][2]. We rate the documented history and the review volume as strengths because both are dated and checkable.

Questions about A Thorpe Plastering
Is A Thorpe Plastering any good?
On the evidence, yes for routine work: it sits fourth in our Telford plasterers table, holds five stars on Google across the round's deepest review base, and states two decades of trading. Cover is unstated, so read the full page and its sources. Call either published number for a free quote.
Is A Thorpe Plastering registered with a trade scheme?
No scheme membership is on record: industry qualifications cannot be sourced from the registers, the website or the platforms checked, and the site claims none. Plastering has no mandatory register, so ask for the insurance papers instead. Get them in writing before work starts. Ask instead for the insurance papers and the making-good terms in writing.
What does A Thorpe Plastering charge?
It offers a free quote but publishes no rates, call-out fee or VAT position. That means your enquiry does the talking: describe the rooms and surfaces and ask for an itemised fixed quote. Confirm what the price covers before you agree anything. Both numbers reach the same plasterer, so the quote comes from the hands doing the job.
Where does A Thorpe Plastering work?
The sole trader works from Telford, covering skimming, rendering, dry-lining and repairs for local homes. Contact runs through a landline, a mobile and an email address, and both numbers reach the same plasterer. Send your postcode with photos of the walls to confirm you are covered. Local homes form the whole book, so nearby postcodes rarely fall outside it.
How is A Thorpe Plastering ranked?
It ranks fourth of the ten plasterers in our September round, picked as a long-established generalist with a wide review base. Unstated cover keeps it off the top, so read the full page. Read the review, then ask for the itemised quote. Review depth plus a long stated history is what holds it above the thinner sheets below.
How do I get a quote from A Thorpe Plastering?
Call the landline or the mobile, or send photos of the walls by email, and ask for the free quote that both numbers lead to. Describe the rooms and surfaces rather than diagnosing them yourself. Confirm what the figure covers before anything is agreed. Photos of the walls help it quote accurately.
What do customers say about A Thorpe Plastering?
Customers leave the strongest sheet in the round: full marks on Google across the deepest review base here, with no second platform widening the picture. Consistency across that volume is the story. Read a spread of the reviews before calling. No other firm in this round matches that single-platform depth.
How does A Thorpe Plastering compare with the others in this round?
It sits fourth as the established generalist, pairing the longest stated sole-trader history with the widest customer base. The firms above add company records, guarantees or specialisms it does not claim. For routine internal work it is the natural first call; for damp, lime or commercial packages, the specialists rank higher for a reason.
