Jays Removals & Storage Ltd in short
Jays Removals & Storage is a Hortonwood removals firm offering house, commercial and piano moves with storage, packing and porter hire from one Telford base, and it leads our piano movers table. Membership of a removals and storage association and of Approved Movers is stated on its own website, though no membership numbers are printed to check. Free no-obligation quotes come by phone, email, form or WhatsApp, and the company record on Companies House runs back years. Storage, packing and porter hire sit beside the moves, which is why combined jobs suit it.
The record shows house, commercial and piano moves with storage, packing and porter hire from the Hortonwood base. Stated cover runs to Telford and Shropshire including Shrewsbury, plus Wolverhampton and Cannock, with nationwide service offered. Contact runs through phone, email, an online form and WhatsApp.
Customer reviews are the firm's strongest card, at 4.9 from 172 Google reviews, the largest review base in this round and the only public source we hold. No second platform sits beside it in the evidence we hold, so the Google base carries the whole customer story.
Our verdict is that Jays suits anyone wanting one Telford firm for a move that mixes a piano with storage or packing. What counts against it is paperwork rather than performance: no cover amounts and no rates are published. It is our pick for buyers combining a piano with storage or packing in a single job.
Our verdict
Our judgement: Jays suits you if you want one Telford firm for a house or office move that includes a piano, storage or packing, alongside a company record running since 2009 and 172 Google reviews behind the rating [1] [2] [3]. The gaps sit in unpublished paperwork rather than anything adverse on the public record.

Questions about Jays Removals & Storage Ltd
Is Jays Removals & Storage any good?
On the evidence, yes for combined moves: it tops our piano movers table, holds the round's largest Google review base at a headline 4.9, and covers house, office and piano work with storage and packing. Memberships are site-stated without checkable numbers, and cover amounts stay unpublished. Read the full review and its sources before deciding. The review summary above sets out who it suits and what counts against it.
Is Jays Removals & Storage registered with a trade scheme?
No mandatory registration applies to piano removals. The firm states membership of a removals and storage association and of Approved Movers on its own website, but prints no membership numbers, so industry qualifications can't be sourced beyond the site's word. Ask for the membership detail in writing with your quote. Stated memberships without numbers rest on the site's word until checked.
What does Jays Removals & Storage charge?
It offers free no-obligation quotes by phone, email, form or WhatsApp, describing pricing as competitive, but publishes no rates or VAT figures. Your written quote is therefore the whole price: check it states fixed or estimate, the VAT position and the cover. Get two or three quotes on the same inventory. Send the piano type and stair detail with the first enquiry for a firmer figure.
Where does Jays Removals & Storage work?
From its Hortonwood base in Telford it covers Telford and Shropshire including Shrewsbury, plus Wolverhampton and Cannock, with nationwide service offered. Send your collection and delivery postcodes with the piano detail to confirm cover. Quotes come by phone, email, form or WhatsApp. Stated cover also names Wolverhampton and Cannock, with nationwide service offered.
How is Jays Removals & Storage ranked?
It ranks first of the ten piano movers in our September round, chosen as the best overall pick for house and office moves with storage and piano work. We looked first at what customers say, then trade credentials and stated cover. Read the ranking card for what its score rests on, and compare it with the firms nearest your job.
How do I get a quote from Jays Removals & Storage?
By phone, email, the website form or WhatsApp, with free no-obligation quotes on offer. Send the piano type, measurements, stairs and both postcodes for a firmer first figure. The written quote is the whole price: check it states fixed or estimate, the VAT position and the cover. Get two or three quotes on the same inventory.
What do customers say about Jays Removals & Storage?
It holds a headline 4.9 from the round's largest Google review base, and no second platform sits beside it in the evidence we hold. That depth steadies the headline: it would take many new reviews to move it. Read a spread of the written comments, not just the figure, before deciding.
How does Jays Removals & Storage compare with the others in the round?
It sits first of the ten, ahead on review depth and service breadth: no rival combines piano work with storage, packing and porter hire behind a longer company record. Its paperwork gaps match the rest of the table, with cover amounts and rates unpublished. Compare it against the survey-led firms where access is awkward.
