Cavetto Building Consultancy in short
Cavetto Building Consultancy was a Shropshire building consultancy covering performance, conservation and pathology work, run by its owner since 2015 according to directory profiles. Our review finds a practice that has reached the end of its road: its own site states it has closed. Our view of the business is that of a small owner-run consultancy in specialist corners of the trade, now closed to new instructions, and that closure is the fact that shapes everything else on this page.
The record puts the practice at an address in Sheriffhales, with directory profiles describing county-wide building consultancy work. The service descriptions on file — performance, conservation and pathology — point to advisory consultancy of a specialist kind, not the homeowner survey work the ranked table exists to compare. Past clients would have met an owner-led service, since the profiles describe the consultancy as run by its owner.
The company record spans 2015 to dissolution, and no customer reviews are on record. Directory profiles describe an RICS regulated firm, but no listing for Cavetto appears on the register. With closure on its own site and no register listing behind the description, the firm sits outside our assessed set. The file behind this review is thin beyond that: directory profiles, the company record, the closure notice and the register search, with no customer voice among them.
What this means for the ranking is simple: a closed practice cannot be appointed, so Cavetto Building Consultancy appears here for completeness rather than comparison. Should the position change, the Claim a listing route exists for fresh detail. Set against the nine assessed firms, with their live websites, contact routes and customer evidence, this page records a firm that has left the market rather than a live alternative.
Our verdict
Our judgement: Cavetto was a Shropshire building consultancy whose own site states it has closed and whose company dissolved in March 2026 [1] [4]. The RICS description on directory profiles could not be matched on the register [2] [5]. It sits outside our assessed set.

Questions about Cavetto Building Consultancy
Is Cavetto Building Consultancy any good?
The question no longer applies in practice: the firm's own site states it has closed and the company record shows dissolution. No customer reviews are on record either way. Our review treats Cavetto Building Consultancy as history rather than an option. Homeowners with a live job will find appointable firms with quote routes and review records among the nine assessed practices.
Is Cavetto Building Consultancy RICS registered?
Not on the evidence held. Directory profiles describe an RICS regulated firm, but no listing for Cavetto appears on the RICS Find a Surveyor register. With the practice closed, the mismatch is academic. The register search itself is the proof here. Anyone checking credentials today can run the firm's name through the public register search and see the empty result for themselves.
What does Cavetto Building Consultancy charge?
Nothing is bookable: the website carries only a closure notice, with no services, fees or contact routes. No prices are on record from any source. Directory profiles describe past consultancy work, not current prices. There is no quote to compare, which is itself the answer. The way to put a number on your own job is to take written quotes from the assessed firms, whose quote routes are live, on an equivalent scope.
Where did Cavetto Building Consultancy work?
The practice was based in Sheriffhales, Shropshire, and directory profiles describe county-wide building consultancy work. That geography is now history, and live jobs belong with the nine assessed firms instead. The closure notice is the last word on the subject. For a live job in the same patch, the assessed firms' pages name their own coverage towns, so start there.
How is Cavetto Building Consultancy ranked?
It is not in the ranked table: closure and dissolution fail the live-trading check every assessed firm passes. It appears on the site for completeness so readers know it was researched. Fresh detail can arrive through the Claim a listing route. The page stays published so anyone searching the name finds the closure rather than a dead end.
How do I get a quote from Cavetto Building Consultancy?
There is no quote route to use today: the website carries only a closure notice, with no services, fees or contact routes, and no prices are on record from any source. For a live job, the assessed firms' pages give their own contact routes, so a real comparison starts there instead.
What do the reviews say about Cavetto Building Consultancy?
Nothing is on record either way: no customer reviews appear in any of the sources behind this review, so there is no rating to quote and no pattern of praise or complaint to report. The customer record here is silence, which matches a small specialist consultancy that closed without leaving a review trail.
How does Cavetto Building Consultancy compare with the ranked firms?
It does not compete with them: the ranked firms run their own live websites, contact routes and customer evidence, while this page records a closed practice with a dissolved company. The closest point of contact is subject matter, since directory profiles describe performance, conservation and pathology consultancy. For any live job, the comparison that matters runs between the nine assessed firms, whose pages carry the evidence.
