Jays Removals & Storage Ltd in short
Jays is a family-run removals and storage firm at Hortonwood in Telford, with a home packing service and a full range of packing materials at the heart of its offer, open seven days a week. Removals, secure storage, piano moves and porter hire sit under the same roof, and the site describes the service as fully insured with free no-obligation quotes. That pack-and-move spread from one local firm is what sets Jays apart.
The record shows packing at the core: a home packing service with a full range of materials, open seven days a week, beside domestic and commercial removals, secure storage, piano moves and porter hire. The firm serves Telford and Shropshire including Shrewsbury, with Wolverhampton and Cannock covered and nationwide moves on offer. Quotes are free with no obligation through the form, phone, email, WhatsApp or Facebook message.
The customer evidence is the round's broadest mover record: Google shows 4.9 from 172 reviews. That pairing of a high mark with a large base leads the removal firms here, and nothing in the held sources undercuts it. The count has depth behind it, which steadies the mark in a way a smaller set could not.
Customer reviews are among the strongest in the round, with top marks on Google across a large base. Memberships are listed without numbers to check and no rates are published, which counts against an otherwise strong record. Our verdict: Jays suits you if you want one Telford family firm to pack as well as move you.

Is Jays Removals any good?
On the evidence, yes for pack-and-move jobs: it ranks second in our Telford packing table, holds top marks on Google across a large base, and packs, moves and stores from one Hortonwood site seven days a week. Memberships carry no checkable numbers, so read the full page. Send your room list for a free no-obligation quote.
Is Jays in a removals trade scheme?
Membership of a removals and storage association and of Approved Movers is listed on its own website, though neither carries a number to check. Ask for the membership details and check them yourself. Get the confirmation alongside your written quote.
How much does Jays charge?
It publishes no rates, though quotes are free with no obligation and the site promises competitive pricing. Your quote does the talking, so send the full room list and ask for labour, materials and VAT shown separately. Confirm what the price covers before you agree anything.
Where does Jays work?
From Hortonwood in Telford it serves Telford and Shropshire including Shrewsbury, plus Wolverhampton and Cannock, with nationwide moves on offer. Most Telford homes sit inside its patch. Send your postcode with both addresses to confirm cover and ask for the survey date.
How is Jays ranked?
It ranks second of the ten packing firms in our September round, picked for pack-and-move jobs from one family firm. Its review base is broader than the leader's, so read both pages. Read the full review, then ask for the itemised quote.
How do I get a quote from Jays?
Through any of its routes: the online form with your room list, the Telford head-office phone, email, WhatsApp or Facebook message, with replies promised within a day. What do customers say about Jays?
Google is the held source, showing 4.9 from 172 reviews. That is the broadest high-scoring base of any removal firm in the round, which steadies the mark in a way a smaller set could not. No adverse record appears in the held sources. Read a spread of the reviews, then compare the quote against the leader above.
How does Jays compare with the others in the round?
It sits second, a whisker behind White and Company, as the family-firm alternative to a national branch. Its Google base is broader and warmer than the leader's, and it opens seven days where White keeps branch hours. White answers with overseas shipping and stated mover memberships that Jays cannot match on paper. Read both pages before deciding.
