Shines of Shropshire in short

Shines of Shropshire is a Telford-based family firm mixing residential, commercial, end-of-tenancy and post-construction cleaning with gardening, property maintenance and rubbish clearing. It states a fully insured company with a free-estimate field visit and a round-the-clock phone line. One number for cleaning plus small maintenance jobs is its pitch. No insurer, policy detail or amount is published behind that insurance statement, and estimates stay free after a field visit.

On patch, the family firm works from Donnington across Telford and Shropshire, taking cleaning, maintenance and rubbish clearing work. The record seats it at a single Donnington address, which reads as one local team covering the county rather than a multi-depot operation.

Customer reviews are spotless but small, with five stars on Google from nine ratings. That is the largest customer base among the three researched firms, though nine ratings is still a small book for judging consistency, and Google is the only public source held. Shines of Shropshire reads as a cleaner and maintainer that clears on the side rather than a dedicated clearance round.

Our judgement: the firm suits homes wanting cleaning with maintenance and rubbish clearing attached. No waste carrier registration was found, so it sits in the researched group, and no trading dates or rates are published. In our review, a checkable licence would change its standing entirely.

Our verdict

Our judgement: Shines suits you if you want one Telford number for house cleaning with maintenance and rubbish clearing on the side [1]. Its 5.0 Google score from nine reviews is spotless but small [4]. What counts against it is the missing waste licence: without a carrier registration it cannot be our pick for clearance work, so it sits in the researched, not assessed group [3].

Score summary

We researched this provider but have not scored it, because it did not meet one of our eligibility requirements.

G3 · No waste carrier registration found: the Environment Agency register search returns no record for the business name and the website states no licence number [1] [3].

Strengths

  • The service list spans residential, commercial, end-of-tenancy and post-construction cleaning with gardening and property maintenance including rubbish clearing, seen 4 September 2026 [1].

  • The site states a fully insured family company with a free-estimate field visit and a 24-hour, 7-day phone line [1] [2].

  • No trading start date is published — scored as insufficient evidence, not as a failing [1].

  • Estimates are free but no rates, call-out fee or VAT position are published [1].

Questions about Shines of Shropshire

Is Shines of Shropshire any good?

For cleaning and maintenance the signs are warm: five stars on Google from nine reviews, a stated fully insured company and a round-the-clock phone line. For clearance it is not our pick, since no waste carrier registration was found [3]. Compare it on cleaning, and use an assessed firm for a full clearance.

Is Shines of Shropshire a registered waste carrier?

No registration was found: the Environment Agency register search returns no record for the business name, and the website states no licence number [1] [3]. That is why it sits outside the assessed table. If you still want it for clearance work, ask for a carrier number first.

How much does Shines of Shropshire charge?

Estimates are free after a field visit, but no rates, call-out fee or VAT position are published [1]. That makes your estimate the whole price picture. Book the visit, then ask for the figure itemised with VAT shown before agreeing anything.

Where does Shines of Shropshire work?

The family firm works from Donnington across Telford and Shropshire, taking cleaning, maintenance and rubbish clearing work [1] [2]. Send your postcode with the enquiry to confirm you are covered. Expect two phone numbers, an email and a contact form for estimates.

How is Shines of Shropshire ranked?

It is researched but not assessed in our September round: without a waste carrier registration it cannot enter the house clearance table, whatever its cleaning merits. Any firm can claim its listing and send proof for a future round. For now, compare the five assessed firms above.

How do I get a quote from Shines of Shropshire?

Ring either of the two phone numbers, email or use the contact form, describing the rooms and the rubbish to be cleared, since estimates are free after a field visit [1] [2]. No rates, call-out fee or VAT position are published, so the estimate is the whole price picture [1]. Expect the figure itemised with VAT shown before you agree anything.

What do customers say about Shines of Shropshire?

Warm and spotless so far: five stars on Google from nine reviews, the largest customer base among the three researched firms [4]. Google is the only public source held, so that set is the whole customer picture. Read the comments in full, then judge the cleaning and maintenance work on its own terms.

How does Shines of Shropshire compare with the others in this round?

It sits in the researched group outside the assessed five, since no waste carrier registration was found for it. The assessed firms each hold a registration that can be checked on the public register and run clearance as their main work. For cleaning with maintenance and rubbish clearing attached, this Donnington firm reads as a handy single number; for a full clearance, compare the assessed five first.
